The Concept
FIIOB Junos Kolkata, was established on 10th February 2014, five months after FIIOB Football Team Kolkata started its journey. It is the Under-19 team of FIIOB Football Team, Kolkata which acts as an academy to senior team.
The team was established with an idea of nurturing young talents together since their teenage, so that when they become twenty and get promoted to senior team, they will share a unbreakable bonding, team chemistry and we will have the sense of belonging and responsibility towards FOOTBALL IS IN OUR BLOOD (FIIOB) community.
Each year open trials take place to form new batch of Junos. Any player of age 18 or below is eligible for trials. Once selected, the player is allowed to be in Junos till he is 20. Post that, if he is unable to make it to the senior team, he is released.
We organize two Under-19 tournaments every year, known as FIIOB NextGen League and FIIOB Youth Cup to test the Junos batch regarding how much they are ready to represent senior side.
FIIOB Youth Cup is oldest age based tournament in Kolkata's amateur football circuit.

The Contribution
FIIOB Junos Kolkata has been instrumental to FIIOB Football Team Kolkata's success. In five batches, 27 players have come up to represent the senior side and won countless trophies.
The current senior squad have 16 Junos/Junos graduates, which is almost seventy percent of squad strength.
FIIOB Junos itself have contributed 11 trophies to FIIOB cabinet as well and in coming days, Junos will keep contributing more.
