FIIOB makes it all swoop in R.B. Memorial Trophy!

December 25, 2020: FIIOB Kolkata resumes their participation in tournaments after 9 long months and it has been done in style!

Two teams from FIIOB, named FIIOB Whites and FIIOB Blues, participated in R.B. Memorial Trophy this Friday and both teams reached the final. While Whites lifted the Champions trophy, Blues ended up as Runners and Neelayan won the Player of the Tournament award making sure we have swooped all the possible trophies.

This marks a remarkable achievement that for fourth time, both teams from FIIOB faced off each other in a tournament final making sure both the trophies are lifted by us only.

Total Annihilation

FIIOB Whites won their first game by 2-0 and then semis by 4-0 to reach the final whereas FIIOB Blues made comebacks in both of their games after finding themselves 0-1 down to make it 1-1 and then winning in penalties.

Rajarshi shared his feeling about the remarkable achievement in a passionate way stating, "There could be no better way to finish a year that has been extremely tough for all of us. We stick together in hard times and we have done this year for a longest period. We never felt we are detached from each other when practices were off for months and when we resumed, the boys and girls have shown tremendous character from first day. This is a perfect result of such attitude but we don't want to stop here. We want to make 2021 more memorable."

FIIOB Kolkata will be playing EEZ Guys this Sunday, on 27th December, in a friendly game.
